You do not need to deliver chin-to-waist transformations when you begin offering extension services. Those before and after pics are great for IG, but starting with more relatable applications like filling out a bob or fine areas will build your books.
The goal when color-matching extensions is to mimic your client's natural hair. Almost no one's hair is the same tone from root to end on every strand—extensions should be the same. Choosing a couple of colors, one perfectly matched and one slightly lighter (or darker) to the client's hair can create a dimensional, natural look.
These application techniques are very different—for a reason! Applying extensions should never be one-size-fits-all. Both techniques are designed with specific placements to provide seamless coverage and natural volume.
