Our LINEONE wavy texture is a soft wavy-to-curly texture. It's meant to look like hair that's naturally wavy, not a set curl, so it's easy to make it look like your client's own.
Wavy texture is available in Keratin Tip Individuals and Genius Weft. Here's what to know before you order it, install it, style it, and send your clients home in it.
The Ideal Client
Wavy works best on clients whose natural hair is wavy to curly. If your client usually wears their hair air dried or with some texture, straight extensions will fight their hair every day- the wavy won't.
With individuals, the hair tends to form to your client's texture. Each bond is wrapped with their own hair, so they move together into the same pattern.
Color Matching
A proper color match is always important, but with wavy there's less room for error. When your client air dries, their natural hair and the extensions sit right next to each other with nothing smoothing them together, so any little difference shows.
The most common mistake is matching too light. If you're between two shades, don't go lighter. Lighter extension hair will show through, especially in air-dried styles.
Styling Wavy Texture
The wave is easy to change depending on the look your client wants:
- Enhance the wave: use styling products like Weightless Detangler and Remedy Oil to bring out more definition. Add curl defining products as needed.
- Loosen it: air dry in braids for a softer, looser wave. Tie two loose braids with the pair of mini SOFTWEAR hair ties for a crease-free hold.
- Smooth it out: blow it out with a Bioprogramming Repronizer and ceramic round brush. When your client wants their wave back, wet the hair and re-style it.
Being able to wear it wavy or smooth makes the wavy texture a versatile option for clients who switch up their look.
Home Care
Wavy hair needs a little more care than straight. Share these with your client before they leave the chair:
- Add moisture every day. Use Remedy Oil daily to keep the wave soft and hydrated.
