Great extensions are only as good as the aftercare behind them. Here's the LINEONE method, start to finish.

Washing: Shampoo only at the scalp, above the connections, not at the bonds themselves. Use your fingers in a downward motion only; circular motion at the connection area causes matting and stress on the bond. Rinse twice as long as feels necessary, especially near the ears and the nape, where product tends to hide. Conditioner goes on the lengths only, never the scalp or the connections, where it will break down the bond over time. Drea's Tip: Brush extensions out fully before getting in the shower for an easier time washing, and drying afterwards.
Drying: Squeeze hair dry with a towel, never rub. Dry the roots and connections first and fully; hair should never go to bed wet or damp. Wait until hair is about 85% dry before brushing. Dry extensions with a ceramic brush only, never a natural or boar bristle brush, as these can apply too much tension to the connections and your natural hair.
Sleeping: Extensions should always be completely dry before bed. Loosely tie hair overnight in SOFTWEAR Silk Hair Ties- in 2 loose braids to keep a wavy or air dried style, or 2 loose ponytails at the nape of your neck to keep a blowout or smooth style. The silky, creaseless hold protects both the bond and the hair from friction against a pillow, without the tension a regular elastic creates.
Air Drying: Apply a pump or two of Remedy Oil and a few sprays of Weightless Detangler to prevent frizz and add shine. When air drying, tie hair with SOFTWEAR Silk Hair Ties, they're specifically designed for air drying, with the two mini-sized ties. This prevents tangling and frizzing as it dries naturally.
Brushing: Always brush wet or dry hair with a gentle detangling brush — the Ibiza Hair Tools x LINEONE CX8 Brush is built for exactly this. Hold the hair firmly above where you're brushing, and start at the ends, working your way up in small sections. Never brush from the root down; that's what causes tension and shedding at the bond. Brush at least twice a day to keep hair smooth and prevent matting. Drea's Tip: Keep a mini brush in your purse for detangling on the go.
A few more rules: skip high, tight ponytails and buns, which stress the connections. Apply Remedy Oil to the ends after brushing and styling to keep them hydrated. And when in doubt: less handling, more gentle care.
